ENVIRONMENTAL:WATER RESOURCES

In what is perhaps the most basic of human needs, HAKS provides services to assure reliable water supply, flood control, water-borne transportation, water quality, watershed management and more.  Water resource facilities take many different forms, most of which HAKS has planned, designed and managed and inspected the construction of, including dams, spillways, reservoirs, embankments, tunnels, drainage systems, storm runoff routing, storage and disposal.  We employ hydraulic and hydrology studies, downstream inundation studies, soil studies, geotechnical engineering, field testing and other analytical, laboratory and field tools.  Our engineers  understand the legal and regulatory requirements of water resource development work, water storage and transmission, tunnel design and tunnel construction systems, environmental planning and permitting, with federal, state and local regulatory agencies.  We will design the facilities, schedule and sequence their construction, manage and inspect the construction to assure quality, cost control, completion on time and within budget.
